Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician

At least one year of experience as an ophthalmic or optometric technician is preferred.
We have two locations, one in Weatherford and one in Granbury.
This position requires being able to work at both locations.
They are both an easy 30 minute drive from Fort Worth! We are looking for a motivated, dependable, proficient, self-starter.
We will consider part-time or full-time.
A full time position would be for 32 - 40 hours per week and qualifies for benefits.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
ability to perform a variety of ophthalmic testing, including refractions skill with computer applications, including EMR attentive to detail and accuracy trustworthy, efficient, pleasant and diligent superior interpersonal and communication skills neat, professional appearance
Responsibilities:
room and prepare patients for physician; do a full ophthalmic work-up record patient information in electronic medical record prepare exam rooms, keeping neat and clean administer oral and topical ophthalmic medications operate ophthalmic equipment - such as phoroptor, OCT, IOL Master, fundus camera, visual field analyzer, topographer, lensometer, etc.
perform refractions; measure intraocular pressure (Goldman applanation & Tonopen) explain treatment procedures, medications, or physician instructions to patients assist physician with in-office ophthalmic procedures maintain/ clean/ sterilize ophthalmic instruments or equipment; dispose of contaminated supplies Schedule:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
