Under general supervision of the Associate Director of Nursing, assists with the planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating of nursing service and education programs of the hospital, diagnostic and treatment center, or a major unit w within the Department of Nursing.

Skills:
3 years of experience is required Education:
RN License - required Primary Source Verification - required BSN - required Masters degree - preferred Certifications & Licenses:
BLS - AHA - RN License
Experience:
Emergency Room experience preferred As Associate Director of Nursing you will be responsible for:
Direct team of RN's, manage medical budget and all inmate inpatient cares.
Carry out each responsibility by planning, organizing, managing, controlling, ensuring quality assurance and applying interpersonal relations.
Coordinate departmental activities for successful JCAHO, CMS, and other state surveys.
Prepare for and participate in JCAHO survey.
Assist in obtaining, and maintenance of JCAHO accreditation.
Provide direct oversight of the NCLEX preparation program for graduating students.
Develop and implement a staff emergency preparedness program.
Review, revise and develop nursing policy and procedures.
Provide staff development through new staff orientation, development of working practice guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Collaborate with multiple disciplines to define functional RN standards and translate standards into usable applications and care patterns for organizational efficiency.
Assure continuity of care of quality patience care deliver with appropriate documentation that identifies physical, psychological social and environmental needs.
