Direct administrative support of technology department including, routing calls and tickets for service, re-assignment of tasks according to current workloads, coordinating purchases of technology related items for the various departments in the county, compilation of various reports.
Level one support analyst responsible for initial troubleshooting, and resolution of level one support requests.
This position may work after normal business hours.
Examples of Important Responsibilities and Duties:
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
1.
Assists other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
2.
Incidents follow up calls or emails.
3.
Research, quote, and purchase all county computer equipment, in compliance with the Hood County Purchasing Department policies and procedures.
4.
Reconciliation of vendor purchases, invoices, and payments for county wide technology services.
5.
Communicate well with end users and technology department staff.
6.
Manage day to day vendor relationships for county technology needs.
7.
Maintain and order equipment, supplies, and materials for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items for completing jobs efficiently.
8.
Helps Maintain Technology Department inventory.
9.
Manages technology department records, contracts, and renewals.
10.
Assist with Technology Budget.
11.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Current Texas Driver's License in good standing.
Ability to pass a background check.
Ability to:
Perform advanced functions using Microsoft Office Suite.
Operate various Enterprise Hardware (Printers, Scanners, Peripherals, etc).
Effectively perform job duties using Enterprise Software (Tyler, Spillman).
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Adapt to different situations.
Communicate courteously and effectively whether written or oral.
Effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues in fast paced environment.
Provide support to county offices on hardware, software, and applications.
Multitask Preferred Experience and Training Guidelines:
Any combination and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
1-2 years of experience in an office environment.
College degree and/or technical training in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or closely related field.
Experience with medium to large government or business.
Working Conditions Environmental Conditions:
This position is in a climate-controlled environment with occasional travel between county facilities.
Physical Conditions:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and or pulling.
Some climbing and balancing.
Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
Generally, the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing.
The job is performed under moderate temperature variations.
Occasional lifting and moving of equipment and supplies.
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
